How to Crochet a Bookmark in less than 2 hours

I found this pattern a few years back and it is one of my favorite teaching patterns. It is quick, easy and it teaches all the basic stitches of crochet - chain, slip stitch, single crochet and double crochet.
As I mentioned in my last blog with teaching the Hackesttown Women, this was a project all can do and be able to compete in less than 2 hours if you are beginner and teach yourself the basic stitches of crochet.

So let us get started!

sl st - slip stitch

Row 1: Skip first stitch, dc into each stitch across - 21 stitches total. Ch 1, turn.
